If you've been on Tiktok or Instagram lately it's likely you've seen this East London restaurant pop up on your feed.

Palaette in Hackney is known for it's beautiful presentation, colourful aesthetics and Mediterranean cuisine.

In fact, it has become so well-known that those hoping to visit the brunch spot could be faced with a wait of up to two hours during busy periods.

The food is worth the wait, though, as many reviewers have mentioned.

Reviewer Lee Lee wrote: "I've been to Palaette several times now and each visit the food was absolutely delicious.

"The only issue some may have is the waiting time for a table but to be honest it's worth the wait. For me, I don't mind as I know what the outcome will be once I sit down."

Another reviewer, ND, wrote: "So so glad we waited, the food was delicious, the French toast was absolutely amazing."

The restaurant's Instagram page boasts pictures of pancakes stacked high surrounded by fresh fruit and edible flowers as well as snaps of savoury dishes topped off with eggs, hash browns and more.

Every image is met with a flood of heart-eye emojis, love hearts and friends tagging each other saying they just HAVE to visit.

Palaette doesn't take bookings so all visitors are walk-ins, hence the long wait on busy days.

One Tiktok user even claimed they had waited two hours to get in.

The majority of reviews remain overwhelmingly positive.

"Very busy had to queue up for more than an hour", wrote Ali Junaid in a review, "but it was worth it."

The hashtag #palaette has been viewed almost 560,000 times on Tiktok, with users calling it the place for "London's prettiest breakfast", the "prettiest pancakes in London" and a "London must visit."
