Mindy Kaling is pregnant with her first child, E! News reports. Multiple sources confirmed to the site that the actress, 38, is expecting. One insider also called the news "an unexpected surprise. There are no further details on the star's pregnancy at the moment, but E! states that no changes will be made to the production schedules on her upcoming projects.

One of those projects might include Ava Duvernay's film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time, in which Kaling plays the celestial Mrs. Who. The first trailer was just released this weekend.

Kaling has previously expressed her interest in becoming a mother. In a 2015 interview with Yahoo Style, she said, "I think I've decided that unlike everything else in my life, I'm going to be fast and loose about kids. I'm going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen."
