Mirrors Video: The Love Saga of Justin Timberlakes Grandparents

August 2024 · 1 minute read

The 20/20 Experience doesn’t run light on ambiguous lyrics. But no matter what you made of the opacity of “Mirrors,” you didn’t guess the video would be a tribute to Justin Timberlake’s grandparents, William and Sadie, and their 63-year relationship. The “you are, you are, the love of my life” chant toward the end works well with the theme, though. JT shows up right then to catch his grandmother’s ring and work through some supremely evocative choreography in a hall of mirrors. The clip comes from The Runaways director Floria Sigismondi. Unfortunately those aren’t Timberlake’s actual grandparents.
